One of the largest issues with existing virtual reality solutions is the latency between the input and the display. If the disparity between your head movements and the display is large enough, the latency problem can actually induce nausea in some people. To solve this issue, the team at Oculus VR is hard at work implementing a number of optimizations and workarounds.
I have to admit the nausea can be very off-putting at times. After a long session I’ve needed to just sit for a while. This new technique for fixing the latency issues looks like it could really be the answer.
