Virtual Reality Meditation Game Trains Players Breath
DEEP is a virtual reality game that reduces a person’s anxiety and stress by letting them control the experience with their breathing. Developed by Owen Harris, who has suffered from anxiety and bouts of depression himself, the concept has been shown at many events including the Playful Arts Festival last summer.
The digital zen garden offers an audiovisual feast for the senses that helps alleviate anxiety and mild depression and manage stress. Players can learn ancient breathwork techniques from the meditative and psychoactive game.
The custom controller lets them explore a mysterious undersea world. When they breathe in the lights around them glow and intensify and when they breathe out the glow diminishes. If they take a deep breath they are able to rise up and glide across the seascape.
Well this is different.
